Dr. Tyson Torgersen attended medical school at Colorado at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was raised in Escalante, a small farming town in Southern Utah. He attended Southern Utah University where he graduated with a degree in Chemistry. Prior to attending college he lived in South Africa and Swaziland where he was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is married and has one daughter. He is very passionate about Rural Medicine and plans to practice Full Spectrum Family Medicine in a small town in the Mountain West. The mountains are his favorite place to be, where he enjoys fishing, hunting, backpacking, cutting firewood, and camping. He also enjoys woodworking, mechanic work, and tying flies.
